| the first day of the Festival - El Senor de La Conquista (The Lord of the Conquest). A Festival of Dance which concludes in the cathedral. Dancers reflect indigenous groups from the whole area, including the Aztecs, and design their own costumes every year, gaining 15 new feathers for each year they participage. Music is dominated by the beating of the drums which can be heard all over the city. |
